Tom Berry Jr. pilots Andrews Autosport in Turkey Bowl XIX

In pursuit of his second career Turkey Bowl trophy, Tom Berry Jr. headed to Springfield Raceway over the weekend to pilot the Andrews Autosport No. 11 Modified in Turkey Bowl XIX.

With passing points from a pair of Friday heat races setting the stage for Saturday’s main event, Berry opened the night with a strong sixth-to-second charge in his first heat. Lining up sixth again in his second heat, he one-upped his earlier performance, rallying from the third row to score the win.

His combined efforts earned him the fourth-starting spot for Saturday’s $6,023-to-win A-Main. Unfortunately, Berry’s bid for a repeat Turkey Bowl victory came to an early end when mechanical issues sidelined him on lap four.
