Tangle with lap car derails solid night at Hamilton County Speedway with USMTS
Joining the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) for the weekend, Tom Berry Jr. was one of 26 Modifieds at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) for the two-day Spring Classic event.
Recording a 21st-place DNF on opening night, Berry Jr. turned his attention to Saturday's finale where he grabbed a heat race victory and earned the outside pole position for the 40-lap main event. Tom quickly took the reigns and led until lap 20 when contact from a lap car sent him to the tail of the field. Berry Jr. was scored 24th in the running order.
