TBJ claims All-Star Invitational victory in IMCA Super Nationals

After a disappointing ending in the Late Model ranks on Monday in IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals, Tom Berry Jr. returned to Boone (IA) Speedway on Wednesday for the Modified portion of the 42nd annual event.

The Oregon driver now residing in Marshalltown, Iowa, followed up a pair of strong preliminary nights on Wednesday and Thursday with a win in the Modified All Star Invitational on Friday. He charged from the sixth-starting position and outran pole-starting Brandon Beckendorf to capture the 30-lap victory.

A faulty right-rear tire in Saturday’s $10,000-to-win IMCA Super Nationals finale brought an early end to his weekend.

Full results from the event are available at www.IMCARacing.com.
